Suited for Success scoops Birmingham Award!

The Suited for Success team are over the moon to scoop a Birmingham Award at a glitzy awards evening at the Edgbaston Stadium on Saturday 24th November 2018, celebrating the achievements of people and businesses in Birmingham.

From dancing girls, celebrity hosts and a gorgeous three course Indian meal catered by Simply Mahirs experience; we were so honoured to be hosted for the evening by the Birmingham City University table who were the headline sponsors for the event.

Now in it's fourth year, 23 categories were judged by a panel of respected leaders in the Birmingham business community including Bar/Pub of the year, Arts and Culture award, Business of the year, Professional of the year and Birmingham restaurant of the year.

Community Initiative /Charity Award

Other great Birmingham organisations in our Community initiative/ Charity/ Volunteer category included Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice, Arrive Alive, Let’s Feed Brum, Birmingham Youth Sports Academy and Mark Hayes West Midlands Ambulance.

Other winners joining Suited for Success on the evening included, Malmaison Birmingham (Bar/Pub of the year), Birmingham Hippodrome (Arts and Culture Award), Heart FM's Ed James (Excellence in Media Award) and the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery (Venue of the Year).

The evening ended with a touch of nostalgia with 1980's TV icon Rustie Lee winning the Lifetime Achievement award.

Thank you to our supporters

"We couldn't believe it when Suited for Success was announced as the winner, it was a real surreal moment," says Suited for Success CEO, Patricia White.

"We're so grateful to all our supporters who voted for us and helped to make this happen. We're a young charity with a big heart, innovative ideas and a real passion to work with others to help the unemployed in our city."
