WOW...Thank you HSBC!

We were absolutely blown away by the boxes and boxes of several hundred quality suits, shirts, trousers, skirts, shoes, dresses and accessory donations we picked up from the NEC on Friday 4th May donated by over 300 HSBC managers attending a three-day UK leadership conference.

Suited for Success was contacted by the Head of Corporate Sustainability, HSBC UK Michaela Wright offering the donation after asking the conference participants to bring along items to support our work.

Some of the clothing was also used in fun a team building grouped activity during the conference where the managers were asked to put together smart work outfits onto a washing line and were judged on the best outfits.

Michaela Wright said the conference team were also blown away by the amount of clothing that was donated by the attendees: "Employability and helping people into work is a pillar of our sustainability strategy so we were delighted to support Suited for Success. Our colleagues really got behind this challenge – we were blown away by their support"

Suited for Success Manager, Patricia White said: "It took us a couple of trips to the NEC to get all the boxes back to our centre in Hockley, but we got there in the end. I think we definitely need to fundraise for a much bigger car now!!!"
